CastorOne JLT Interface

The PLV CASTORONE, now under construction at Yantai CIMC Raffles (Cina), will be subject to a J-Lay Tower installation in way of the dedicated moon pool. The hull interface structures, where the J-Lay Tower and related accessories will be later erected, shall be now capable to withstand the related future local loads.

Navalprogetti S.r.l., Naval Architects and Marine Engineers company in Trieste - Italy, has been requested to develop the engineering activities necessary to design the interface structures (foundations), to analyze the existing hull structure and, in case, to design the necessary hull reinforcements. Scope of the offered activity is to verify the hull structural adequacy for the following J-Lay Tower components installation:

  2. 4) A/R Deflection Pulleys Foundations
  3. 5) Coating Station Rails Foundations
  4. 6-7-8) Rollers (Mar), Bow Translator (BT)and Transfer To Elevator (TRE) foundations
  5. 9) Dummy Pipe Handling System Foundations
  6. 10) String Elevator (SEL) Foundations
  7. 12) Hang Off Clamp (HOC) Beams Supports Foundations
  8. 13) Traveling Assembling (TRA) Rails Foundations
  9. 14) Flute Rails Foundations
  10. 17) Bulky Items Handling Systems (BIHS) Rails Foundations in moon pool
