Natural Gas Ship Propulsion

Navalprogetti is involved into a project for the study of Natural Gas Ship Propulsion. The use of Compress Natural Gas (CNG) on board of different typologies of vessels is the aim of this project.

In particular the following themes will be investigated:

  1. specification of the vessel typologies and routes which benefit of CNG
  2. optimization of power plant
  3. storage on board of CNG
  4. development of adequate rules for classification
  5. class plans, general arrangements, power plants, etc.
