  • Helideck arrangement on board of Wagenborg 102

    20 April 2016

    Congratulations to Royal Wagenborg for the innovative idea to make available in the Caspian area a movable helideck installation using its barge Wagenborg 102. Works are now close to completion in Kazakhstan according to the Navalprogetti’s design.

R&D – Natural gas for Ship Propulsion

Navalprogetti is a partner of the NGShiP industrial research project, co-financed by the POR FESR 2007-2013 Friuli Venezia Giulia region. A long range, handisized product carrier, fuelled by LNG has been designed with an innovative system for Boil off gas (BOG) handling. Using LNG, together with some other innovative solutions for energy efficiency, can cut operating costs by up to 40% compared to the use of low sulphur content fuel.

R&D – AIP Propulsion

An innovative Air Independent Propulsion system has been studied for tug propulsion in emergency conditions such as when H2S gas is released in the atmosphere. The system is based on Li-ion batteries and guarantees sufficient endurance for escape from the gas cloud. The system is completely containerized thus removable when not necessary.
